I have extreme anxiety about dental visits leading to increasing avoidance and increased fear. (As a very young, shy and well behaved child I had a—no joke—sadistic dentist who drilled without any anesthetic and no assistant in the room; he would yell at me and call me a baby if he saw tears in my eyes.) The staff (dentist, dental assistants and front desk administrators) at NYC Smile Spa understand dental phobia and make you feel understood. No lectures! I’m at the beginning of a long haul (implant, crowns, fillings, etc), and so far so good. Dr. Krochak even kindly wrote me an email of encouragement before my first visit. Today when I walked in ready to have a panic attack, the two wonderful women at the front welcomed me by name and were so kind and comforting.

Dr. Finkelstein and Dr. Perlman are great. They explained everything for my whitening that was easy to understand. Dr. Finkelstein did a thorough examination and then a cleaning and polishing in some troubled areas in my mouth and it couldn’t have gone smoother!

Amazing dental clinic and team. Dr. Perlman and his staff, were knowledgeable, kind, and clearly care about what they do. Communication and scheduling were smooth, and the office was very responsive in accommodating questions and requests. I really appreciated that Dr. Pearlman was straightforward, explained my options clearly, and never made me feel pressured to do more than necessary. They were also able to get me in on short notice and perform surgery on an infected tooth the very next day. Overall, I had a great experience and felt very well taken care of.

Dr. Michael Krochak is a great dentist. Everything about his dental practice is phenomenal: the environment (you feel like you enter a spa when you enter his office!), the punctuality of starting your treatment on time, and not being kept waiting; the warm and welcoming staff. Dr. Krochak’ s expertise is amazing, and he has a great chairside manner to boot. His office has the most modern equipment I have ever seen in a dental office, including a “wand” that delivers anesthetic without using needles. No wonder he’s one awards and received the professional recognition he’s achieved are no wonder. I recommend Dr. Krochak and his practice every chance I get.

Dr. K. has been my dentist for 20+ years and has always practiced the most advanced techniques in (painless) dentistry. Every hygienist has been excellent. This also might the most professional medical office of any kind that I have experienced. From scheduling to filing of insurance forms to any and all forms of communication, they do it right.
